Arthritis – Knee

It has been shown that reduced arterial inflow and obstruction of the venous outflow impairs bone blood flow and to lower the cellular nutrient and oxygen supply. Impaired venous circulation (venous stasis) and consequence decreased outflow of blood, especially from the articular ends of long bones, resulting in increased intra-osseous pressure-has been proposed as a causal factor in osteonecrosis – (arthritis of joints such as the hips and knees).
